Blogger is eating my comments. As in, I get a nice email with your nice comment in it, but it never shows up on the blog itself. Which is sad, because some of you are really funny.
It's only been happening since last night, but I'm already driven a bit batty.
Has this happened to you?
If so, did it fix itself or did you have to do something?
Is this all a sign that we should pull up stakes and move to wordpress?
If so, is that hard?
If you have an answer to any of those questions, would you drop me an email? Theoretically I'll get your comments, but I'm losing faith in this whole blogger business....

ReplyDeleteIt is super easy to switch to wordpress (I did it about 18 mos ago) and you can import all your old posts and comments with the click of a button!
ReplyDeleteI've been having the same or a similar problem as well. I get the e-mail with the comment and I try to publish it and get an error message. It's happened before and the comments usually come back so I'm hoping they will this time as well.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a problem with comments, but I have mine set so that I have to approve them all. Maybe that would make a difference...?

Wordpress isn't hard, I think. Was looking at it today - and it's all open source, cool, free and liberal, so I like it. Be not afeared of it.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, the blogspot people are no doubt busily working away in the background to right things, as we speak, since it's a known issue. And they are probably good sorts too.
Hmmmm, I haven't been having any probs with comments. Sure hope it doesn't show up over at my blog next.
