Memorial Day

I still remember you, Roselle.

(So no, cheerful husband of sweet friend, please don't give my son a camouflage hat. You mean well and think it would be cute, but I can't stand it.)

  1. I'm so sad, so very sad, at the loss of this wonderful woman, and at the hole it has left in your heart. Thinking of you, and her. And no, under the circumstances, a camouflage hat is not helpful. Ouch.

  2. Roselle's story has stuck with me. Terribly sad.

  3. I remember, too, if I can presume to do so. My thoughts go out to you and her other friends and family, and to all the men and women serving this imperfect country.

  5. What a powerful and tragic story. My step-sister completed suicide 4yrs ago and we try to make sense of it every day. While it's not connected to the negligence of our military structure towards the men and women who serve, it does forever sadden me that we would have to lose women with such incredible strength, intelligence and kindness in such a way. Thinking of you :)
